Eve Monologue



Eve
Written for a young woman who is feeling lost
Intended to be performed in American Sign Language

Goes to explore the flower. It is a rose. She pricks her finger and explores the cause.

Explores the rose again. This time pricking her finger so hard she yelps a little.
Innocent and curious surprise at the sound. Tries it again and experiments with it.

Surprised excitement. She can name herself is a new way - with her voice. Signs EVE to herself and finds a way to vocalize that.
